Privacy Policy

Your videos and files are processed locally on your own PC and are never uploaded to our servers. This policy explains exactly what the VoxCaption Studio app and website access, how it is used, and what is never collected.

The desktop app

• Local processing — transcription, captioning and video conversion run entirely on your computer. Your media files never leave your PC.
• When the internet is used — only for text translation, fetching online AI voices (dubbing/text-to-speech), and one-time license activation. Only the text or audio needed for that feature is sent to the relevant service; your video files are not uploaded.
• License activation — activation verifies your key and ties it to your machine using a hardware ID. We do not collect personal files in this process.
• No analytics or ad tracking inside the app.

Third-party services

Some optional features rely on third parties, each with its own privacy policy: translation providers, and (if you choose to use it) ElevenLabs with your own API key. Payments are handled by Payhip. We never see or store your payment card details.

The website

• Contact form — if you message us, the form provider (FormSubmit) forwards your message to our email. We use it only to reply to you.
• Hosting logs — our host may keep standard server logs (IP, browser type) for security and reliability. We do not build advertising profiles.
• No third-party ad cookies.

Data retention

Anything the app stores (settings, license, cache) lives on your device and can be removed by uninstalling the app. Contact emails are kept only as long as needed to support you.

Children's privacy

The app and website are not directed at children under 13 and do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Your choices

You can use the app offline for local features, decline optional online features, and request deletion of any email correspondence at any time.
